Terms
Terms of use
By using Livetona you agree to these rules. They are written in plain language on purpose.
The service
Livetona lets you upload a file and share it through a private link that expires. It is free and run by an independent developer. See privacy for how we handle data.
Your account
You sign in with email or Google. Keep your login to yourself, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Your files
You are responsible for the files you upload and share. Only upload files you have the right to share.
Text you share
If text sharing is available, anyone can post text without an account. Text you post can be read by anyone who has its link, and by us. The same rules below apply to text as to files. We may delete a text, and block the connection it came from, if it breaks the rules or is reported and we think the report is real.
What is not allowed
- Anything illegal, including content that sexually exploits children. We will report that to the authorities.
- Malware, or anything meant to harm or spy on others.
- Files that infringe someone else's rights, or that you were not allowed to share.
- Harassment, threats or content meant to harm a person.
- Trying to get around the limits, overload the service, scrape it, or break into other people's files or accounts.
Limits
Up to 25 MB per file and 100 MB per account. Links and files last between 1 hour and 7 days. Only certain file types are accepted. Text posts, when available, are up to 64 KB and last between 1 hour and 7 days. Limits can change, and the pricing page shows the ones in effect today.
Removal and suspension
We can remove a file or link, or suspend an account, if it breaks these rules or if someone reports a problem we think is real. We may do this without notice. You can see how to report something on the report abuse page.
The service can change or fail
Livetona is a small, free service. It can change, have downtime, or stop. Files are deleted automatically when they expire and we keep no backups, so never use Livetona as the only copy of something important.
No promises
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or that files will never be lost or seen by someone else. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it.
